How does llm gateway work?
A vendor-neutral, OpenAI-compatible LLM router that sends each request to the cheapest model meeting the quality needed, sold in Starter, Indie, Pro, Scale and Enterprise tiers plus metered usage. It is positioned on governance and audit rather than raw routing, because the market floor for routing is free.
A gateway validates a request, applies policy, selects a provider and normalizes the response. Routing chooses a model; governance covers identities, spending, retention and auditability. Compare both layers because a low routing fee does not establish total operating cost.
